The Current CGS Standing Committees

The Council of Graduate Students creates Standing Committees to address graduate student issues. If you are interested in applying for any of the committees below, please apply.

The CGS Standing and Ad Hoc Committees and Committee Chairs are as follows:

CGS Diversity, Inclusion and International Concerns Chair: Katie Krajny

This committee is responsible for promoting programs and events for international students and any group of students recognized as being underrepresented by the committee.

Current Members: CGS Graduate Health & Wellness Committee Chair: Chris Volpe

This committee ensures that graduate students are provided with access to health care and fitness for use by them and their families.

This committee searches for and screens applicants for the University Senate, Council on Research and Graduate Studies (RGC), CGS internal committees and other University-Wide committees.

The AAD Committee creates and co-sponsors programs that enrich the academic experience and assist students with administrative processes.

The committee organizes the Edward F. Hayes Graduate Research Forum, now entering its 17th year. The Forum provides graduate students across campus with the opportunity to present original research in a conference-style setting. Top papers/presentations
