Diversity, Inclusion & International Student Concerns
DIISC consists of a Chairperson, appointed by the President and any interested graduate student.
As needed, the chair consults with members who serve on the Student Affairs Diversity Council, the Bias Assault Response Team (BART), Campus Arts and Memorials, the Alcohol Community Coaliton, and the Sexual Assault Committee.
DIISC is responsible for promoting programs and events for international students and any group of students recognized as being underrepresented by the committee.
For 2007-2008 the D&I is charged with the following:
- Facilitate the timely selection & appointment of the aforementioned committee members.
- Following up on the Diversity recommendations made by the Council on Student Affairs.
- Collaborate with the Multicultural Center (MCC), OUAB to create an all-inclusive Earth Day Celebration.
- Advocate for the delivery of all Graduate School mailings in .pdf format via e-mail.
- Host the 2nd Annual "Race to Unite the Races."
