CGS Spring 2019 Events

We have planned several events for this spring that everyone on campus is welcome to attend! 

1) International Film & Discussion Series 

This year will focus on  "Love and Sexuality in the Middle East". The film series will be screened and discussed at Hagerty Hall 145 on Thursday, February 21, 5:30 to 8pm. 

Refreshments will be served:) 

In the context of this film series, the following themes are explored: 

  1. Sexual Identity, Politics, Society - In Between (January 24/ Thursday, 5:30 to 8)
  2.  Female Agency - Caramel (February 21/ Thursday, 5:30 to 8)
  3. Transnational Sexuality Predicaments - The Salesman (March 7/ Thursday, 5:30 to 8)
  4. Love, Religion and Politics - Ajami (April 4/ Thursday, 5:30 to 8)

2) SERC River Clean-up

SERC has organized an Olentangy River Cleanup event with Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed (https://www.olentangywatershed.org/), on Saturday February 23rd at 1pm. This is a great opportunity to meet graduate students from across the university,  and to get outside and experience the natural landscapes right in OSU’s backyard while helping to improve the local environment.

3) Hayes Graduate Research Forum

Come support your fellow graduate students through an engaging research forum that highlights the best graduate research occuring on campus at the Ohio Union Friday, March 1st from 9am to 1pm.

4) Spring Wellness Event

There will be a spring wellness event hosted by the CGS Health and Wellness commitee at the Ohio Union MArch 20th from 3-7pm. Come enjoy some food and relax before the end of the semester!
