Buck-I-Experience

Buck-I-Experience is a joint initiative sponsored by the three student governments, Council of Graduate Students (CGS), Inter-Professional Council (IPC), and Undergraduate Student Government (USG) at The Ohio State University.

The program was created to grant the wishes of students on the Ohio State University Columbus campus; who are suffering from debilitating conditions or special circumstances and may not normally be able to enjoy the Buckeye Experience, by attending football and basketball games, OUAB events or participating in other Ohio State traditions.

CGS, IPC, and USG recognizes that every Ohio State student deserves to have an extraordinary student experience. To that end, we are proud to offer the Buck-I-Experience program for students, enrolled on the Columbus campus, who are suffering from debilitating conditions or special circumstances and may not normally be able to enjoy the Buckeye Experience, by attending Buckeye sporting events, OUAB events, or participating in other Ohio State traditions.

Who is eligible?
The Ohio State University undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on the Columbus campus with debilitating/ special circumstances, inhibiting their ability to fully enjoy the Buckeye Experience. Debilitating and special conditions include, but are not limited to:

  • students with life-threatening and/or severe medical conditions,
  • students with disabilities, and
  • students in recovery (substance abuse, medical recovery, etc.)

Who can refer a student?*
Students can be referred by any of the following sources:

  • any medical professionals**,
  • parents/ legal guardians and family members of the student,
  • any Ohio State University faculty, staff or student**,
  • and the student, themselves!

How can students be referred?
To refer a student please complete an online application here. No paper copies will be accepted. The deadline to submit a referral is Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 11:59:59 PM The deadline has been extended to November 9, 2019.

What can a student wish for?
The Council of Graduate Students, Inter-Professional Council, and Undergraduate Student Government is committed to providing every Ohio State student with the utmost extraordinary student experience possible, thus students are able to wish for anything within the Central Ohio region not to exceed $500.00.***

***The Ohio State University purchasing rules, regulations, and contracts may limit certain request. Selected students will work closely with the Buck-I-Experience team to ensure their wish meets all University purchasing requirements.
