Brian Rocha

Bio: Brian is a PhD student in the Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts at The Ohio State University. For the 2022-2023 academic year he serves as President of the Graduate Theatre Syndicate, a student-run advocacy organization in his department. His current research examines manifestations of the concept saudade in performance across the Luso-Brazilian world. He is particularly interested in Afrodiasporic performance in Northeastern Brazil and Cabo Verde. Brian is also an actor, director, and dramaturg. He has performed in theaters around New York City and on Long Island, where he grew up.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Assist the executive officers as directed by the President of CGS
• Serve as a non-voting member of the executive committee
• Maintain order and adherence to Robert's Rules during delegate meetings
• To assist in reviewing and revising the Constitution, Bylaws, and Standing Rules
